The Ambivert
editorial illustration
This work was created for an article by Raquel Raimundo on ambiversion for Editorial Drawing course (MFA in Drawing at FBAUL). The idea is about a character who is both introverted and extroverted — with her colorful hair, floral shapes and plain dress, she stands calm through color and colorful through darkness, showing a way with a golden flower.

Blackbird
editorial illustration
This illustration is inspired by Blackbird by The Beatles, a song often interpreted as a metaphor for people striving for equality during the civil rights movement in the United States. The vibrant colors beneath the bird’s wings celebrate the beauty and strength found in diversity. Created during the Editorial Drawing course, as part of the MFA in Drawing program at FBAUL.

Jacarandinhá
commercial illustration . applied
Illustration entry for the Sardine Contest '25, organized by EGEAC. Inspired by Lisbon’s iconic jacaranda trees, Jacarandinhá is a sardine of the city. Its bloom signals the arrival of summer — a season of street festivals, lively gatherings, and sizzling sardines on the grill. Like the jacarandas that tint Lisbon purple, it marks the beginning of celebration and connection.
This illustration was created inside the sardine silhouette provided by the competition. Although it didn’t make it to the final selection, I wanted to share it — along with a mock-up imagining how the design might look if it were applied to a ceramic sardine.

The Victim
editorial illustration . storytelling
The illustration depicts a moment of vulnerability, with a mysterious hand reaching towards a girl wearing a hat. In my mind, the hand was trying to steal her hat... The concept later became a starting point for developing The Searcher. Created during the Editorial Drawing course, as part of the MFA in Drawing program at FBAUL.
